We prefer to work with author's through a literary agent, however, there are exceptions. If you believe in your story and are dedicated to being a motivating factor in promotions and sales, or you have a strong alliance with a specific group that may provide targeted sales, then we are interested in learning more about you and your book.
Please complete the following Children's Book Information Request, an abbreviated form that helps us quickly determine if there is a possibility of working together. We will typically respond to this form within one business week with a "yes", "no", or "maybe".
If you are less than 18 years old, please see our Note to Minors at the bottom of the page.
Note to Minors (authors less than 18 years old): We are proud of what you have accomplished. There are success stories of minors as authors. However, we never sugarcoat the odds for success. The odds are long, long, and long.
We also want you to understand a bit more about the industry. Buyers don't care the age of the writer, so, we don't either. This also means that we don't give special treatment to minors. We treat them as adults and we will communicate with them the same way we talk to the attorneys, doctors, and other clients that we have on our roster.
A minor cannot sign our contract. A parent or guardian must sign the contract if issued. Please feel free to email us any questions you may have, but for the most part, if you choose to continue with us, we will treat you (or your child) as we would an adult writer.
Thank you in advance for this information. We will get back to you in one week or less. Please whitelist (accept email from) Submissions@StrategicBookPublishing.com
Sugarland started out as a bedtime story for my granddaughter and today 4 years later here we are with a published children's book.
I cannot even begin
to explain to you how exciting this is for me and Jamie. When the final copy came to our house on Thursday and I saw the finished product for the first time I got so emotional, I cried.
