Karen Czezinski is a petite,
blonde 23-year-old perpetual college student and femme fatale
who works in the math department at the local college.
Karen befriends and is taken
in by two roommates and work colleagues—Susan, a buxom
35-year-old African American woman and Sandra, a 31-year-old
statuesque blonde bombshell.
Three secretaries working in
the math department may seem pretty normal, but there’s more
than meets the eye to these three. Sinister goings-on begin to
percolate within the relationships of these women and the men in
Karen’s life—with deadly results.
Because Karen’s job as a
secretary is a cover-up for her true profession, a hit girl and
former mistress of a New York drug dealer. This girl has been
around the block a few times, collecting $300,000 from taking
out five men and one woman. When a client pays, Karen
delivers.
Her latest mark is Dr. Elgin, an economics professor at the
college and Karen begins her standard modus operandi by becoming
involved with her victim and playing the abused girlfriend. Her
victims always end up dying of an accidental death while engaged
in flagrante delicto.
Susan and Sandra become
unwitting partners in crime and the three form a cult of
“secretarianism” as they develop their complex relationship. But
is Dr. Elgin really such a bad guy? Who needs to be rescued—Dr.
Elgin or the three women from each other.
Czezinski’s razzle-dazzle
dialogue and twisty plotlines take the reader on a wonderfully
wicked ride deftly creating the complex intricacies of female
relationships and the psyche of women.
