As Christians, we are all ministers. It’s true. In fact, from the very foundations of time, God has determined the places He wants us to go and set apart the people He wants us to server in our lives. And whether we realize it or not, each of us was meant to play an exceedingly important role in the furthering of God’s kingdom. But are we even qualified? If so, where do we start? Nobody said that it would be easy.

This book takes a hard, real-world look at what it takes to engage in ministry today. The book begins by uncovering the truth of what ministry actually is and by biblically establishing the authority and ability of all Christians to be ministers. We are then invited to explore five character qualities that are crucial to the development of a dynamic personal ministry in today’s socially complex environment. Ultimately, through scripturally based exhortation, we are encouraged to accept the purpose for which we were created; to serve our fellow human beings, in the name of Christ the King, to whom we are willfully beholden, for all time.

 
About the Author:

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Timothy Michael Cart migrated to the Pacific Northwest in 1989. In the early nineties, he joined the navy where he then spent several years working in the high stakes realm of global public health and epidemiology.

In 2005, armed with a missional calling to the pastorate and a passion for those who suffer, Timothy entered into active ministry. When he is not writing, he can be found reading, cooking, playing guitar, debating issues and helping others. He resides in Shoreline, WA with his wife of 14 years and their four sons.

This is his first book.
