Fiestas and Siestas Miles Apart, is a humorous look at what happens to the Cuthbertson family, Alan and Heather along with daughters, Stacey and Ashlie, when they decide to sell everything, (including the family stationery business) load the family car and move from England to Spain. Unfortunately the girls half way through the process have other ideas and take off on their own adventure across Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. The naivety of the, un-street wise pair, is shown in the e-mails and texts received by their parents, who themselves, are finding Spanish life a very steep learning curve.

About the Authors:

Alan Cuthbertson was born and brought up in Leeds, England. He was married at 19, and in partnership with his wife, Heather, started the family stationery business. During this time Alan served 4 years as an Officer in The Royal Air Force Reserves and became an accomplished aerobatics pilot. 18 years on and frustrated with the commitment the family business demanded he decided, along with his wife and 2 daughters, to move to Spain where they now live in a small Andalucian village.
