Fallen Angels
By Dominic Lagan

In February of 1922, Blackwood McCabe, also known as “The Fixer,” began investigating the murder of the legendary Hollywood film director, William Desmond Taylor. Can McCabe solve this whodunit and help cover it up before the media digs up the truth of this scandal and ruins Hollywood forever? Will his experience and determination be enough to save Hollywood’s fallen angels?

William Desmond Taylor was more than a simple movie director. During the investigation of his murder, McCabe uncovers a series of scandalous ties including a romantic connection to two prominent female movie stars, a friendship with a known drug lord, and an association with a man on trial for rape and murder. These shocking discoveries, if exposed, could threaten the future of Hollywood and everyone in it.

Did Mabel Normand, a love interest of Taylor’s with a severe cocaine addiction, murder Taylor to prevent him from exposing her secret? Was Mary Miles Minter, a teenager with a serious crush on Taylor, the one who pulled the trigger? Had Taylor angered Angelo Dragna, the boss of the West Coast drug syndicate, and paid the ultimate price? What is Taylor’s connection to Fatty Arbuckle, the man accused of rape and murder?

Based on a true story, this superb Hollywood whodunit will keep the reader on the edge of their seat. Lagan’s plot line is razor sharp and has all the elements of a well-crafted murder/suspense.
