Little
girls love to hear fairytales and stories about Prince Charming
and “happily ever afters.” But in real life, the prince is
usually a dud.
Liz
Mellott will charm adult readers with the twists and turns of
her favorite fairytale endings. She tells what happens when the
princess is left a single mother, when Prince Charming runs off
with another woman, or when the prince comes out of the closet
wearing her ball gown. This humorous book portrays Cinderella
after she grows up and enters the real world.
Cinderella Is Dead and I Don’t Feel so
Good Either
is a reality check, because eventually little girls grow up to
learn that Cinderella doesn’t really exist. Her story was meant
to keep girls in line, thinking that everything would fall into
place in the end and they would be princesses. Ha!
